4 Simple Masks To Treat Wrinkles

Wrinkles are expression lines that appear on the face, mainly as a result of aging. They can also appear due to poor skin care (excessive sun, lack of hydration, inadequate nutrition, etc.).

Those annoying marks that form on the face and, with greater incidence, around the eyes, are perceived as unsightly. Thus, they become a matter of concern for many people.

To avoid and fight wrinkles, the first thing we must do is increase the production of collagen and elastin. This is done mainly through the food we eat, vitamin supplements and even applying some nourishing masks to the skin.

The following homemade masks will help you give your skin a timely treatment while hydrating and beautifying it.

Egg white is used to attenuate and diminish the signs of aging and deteriorated skin, according to this study carried out by Duke University (United States). It works as an astringent and exfoliator, while fighting sagging and irritated pores.

Therefore, the mask that we will explain below will be useful for areas such as the eye contour, the forehead and the parts of the face with expression lines.

In addition, we will add a little honey, in order to combine the proteins of both ingredients and add a stain remover effect.

  • 1 egg (63 g).
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (21 g).

Process

  • Before anything else, wash your face with plenty of soap and water.
  • Proceed to separate the yolk from the egg and mix the white in a bowl together with the honey.

On the one hand, oats contain substances that fight free radicals. This is stated in this study carried out by the Pacific Agri-Food Research Center (Canada). On the other hand, milk hydrates, exfoliates and cleanses while stimulating the production of collagen, according to this study carried out by the Santo Tomás University (Chile).

Banana is very good  for skin care thanks to its levels of vitamin C (according to this study carried out by the Nutrition and Health Research Centers of Spain). This ingredient maintains the elasticity of the skin.

It also works as an antioxidant, helping to fight free radicals.

On the other hand, avocado  is rich in omega-3 fatty acids. As it contains vitamins A, C and E, it is used in the cosmetic industry to: attenuate wrinkles, scars and blemishes, reduce scales and, in general, keep skin radiant. This study carried out by the Federal University of Pernambuco (Brazil) emphasizes its benefits to strengthen the skin and prevent wrinkles.

Ingredients

  • 1 small avocado (200 g).
  • 1 banana (100 g).

Preparation

  • Remove the seed from the avocado and, in a container, puree its pulp with the help of a fork.
  • Mash the banana and add it to the avocado puree, then stir until you get a homogeneous mixture.

Application mode

  • Wash your face well to remove impurities.
  • Spread the mask on the face, neck and décolleté and leave for 30 minutes.
  • Rinse with lukewarm water.

It is an ingredient capable of deeply penetrating the layers of the skin, preventing dryness and the appearance of signs of aging.

It contains antioxidant properties, stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, while also keeping the dermis healthy and hydrated.

Cucumber hydrates the skin equally. It is an excellent source of water, vitamins and minerals, ideal for reducing fine lines and repairing damaged dermis. In addition, according to this study carried out by the National University of the Altiplano (Peru), it is a powerful anti-inflammatory.

    Ingredients

    • Aloe vera pulp (100 g).
    • 1 cucumber (100 g).

    Process

    • Blend the aloe vera with the cucumber and add some water to obtain a homogeneous mixture.

    • Repeat this procedure once a week and say goodbye to wrinkles.

    In conclusion…

You can combine several naturally derived ingredients to nourish the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Some even help minimize the appearance of existing wrinkles.

Best of all, being natural, they can be used continuously without fear of side effects. In addition, they are cheaper than many commercial anti-aging treatments.
