Making oatmeal cookies is quite simple, you just have to follow the steps that we show you below. First, mix the butter and brown sugar in a bowl at room temperature. When it is well mixed, combine all the sifted dry ingredients and incorporate them into the mixture.

Then, while stirring, add the three eggs one by one. When you’re done, add the vanilla essence. Then add the oatmeal flakes to the mixture and keep stirring until the oatmeal cookie dough is compact. Using your fingertips, knead until the mixture is smooth.

Let the dough rest for half an hour before starting to assemble the cookies and preheat the oven to 180ÂșC. Meanwhile, grease a cookie sheet with a little butter and then a layer of flour, this prevents the cookies from sticking.

Make small balls with the dough and give it a circular shape to place them on the tray. Leave enough space between them so that they can increase in size without sticking to each other. When you are going to shape the dough, try to make it as similar as possible so that they are baked in the same way.

Finally, put the oatmeal cookies in the oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown and then let them rest for a few minutes.
